I'm not that keen on removing the ballast as I like to keep things as oem as possible & would have to cut wires ect.
Me too. That is why I asked if it is possible to keep the ballast but get rid of the starter, since it influences the convergence in tate mode on a NNC.I'm not that keen on removing the ballast as I like to keep things as oem as possible & would have to cut wires ect.
That's interesting, I can't say I've run into that issue, though I did convergence on the monitor with fully working lighting at the time.Me too. That is why I asked if it is possible to keep the ballast but get rid of the starter, since it influences the convergence in tate mode on a NNC.
Did you ever find a solution? It seems impossible to find something here in europe that would just work by plug and playThanks! So just to be sure. I did not modify anything yet and would like to be able to insert the bulb only plug and play.
Can I use this bulb and just take off the starter?

Thank you guys!
Not an option for me unfortunately. Missing the lightI think I imported something but never continued the work. Somehow the flickering got better...
And finding an led that would work with 110v seems also impossible
I don't know why I said ballast I actually meant I couldn't see a starter so I guess they don't have them on the Noir units so can I just drop in a LED tube without worrying about flicker?Yes, I have LED tubes in my Noirs as well. I actually converted my old Noirs to 230V completely:

I definitely had ballasts in my cabs. IIRC they were electronic ones without starters.

Btw what is the 3.3v PSU used for ?
