[NEW VERSION] New STV Multi Dark Knight Edition !

can you please run the hardware test, the advanced one that checks also for the communication and status of the 2nd SH2 and let us know what it says?

Looks like it can't see the multi cart.

Yes, this one. I think that you want to check specially the dual CPU one. What does it say?

that is good, but doesn't mean that the soldering is OK. It looks apparently like your mobo can't see the cartridge.

Maybe a stupid question, but does the console go to a blank screen reset during the game writing process and then reset?
do you hear the music playing when the game has been written?

yes I hear a Chime when it starts and it resets itself after the install

just double checked. yes the screen goes blank. with the files I have it says sega when the flashing starts and sega when it completed. but the error persist

One thing to check is the chip that you connected the reset wire to. Make sure that the soldering is still good on all the legs. Use a multimeter to beep it out and ensure to ensure nothing is bridged where it shouldn’t be. I vaguely have a memory of this being an issue when I installed a multi a while’s back but can’t remember the symptoms.

just checked. all is good. not bridges and I get continuity all the way to the other chip.

I’m away from my arcade stuff at the moment otherwise I’d help more.

If you could test the multi on another motherboard that would help.

Ok. That rules out the mobo imo.

Did you try with a different microsd? Which one are you using?

If the same happens with a different one, let us know and you can send to us and we'll have a look. Either we fix or replace.

I actually just ordered some more micro sd cards from amazon to test in the morning. I ordered some sandisk 16gn cards

The smaller the better. If you have some old 4gb those should work well. Remember that only SDHC cards are supported, not SDXC.

The 16gb card worked and I'm off to the races!! turns out it wasn't the sd card, it was my mac formatting. I just happened to read another thread that said don't use a mac to format the card. Thank you to everyone who chimed in to help me out!
