I'll keep my order, no worries on the wait, sorry this happened!

Just for curiosity's sake what laser model was it that self destructed, so we can avoid that one, and which laser are you looking at purchasing? I've been curiously looking at lasers, specifically since I found that diode lasers seem like they can cut this matte black acrylic you designed these with -- I love that look. I'm not sure if diode is the way to go for hobby projects like this, especially since I don't know the thickness that those can cut in this matte black, but any recommendations would be cool to hear.

The good:
The quality is great, and is consistent compared to the acrylic I personally cut. The PR logo cutout pieces have also been retained, and will be included with your enclosures.

The not so good:
I assumed the acrylic thickness would be consistent enough that I didn't need to do a thorough receiving inspection, but this lot was a full 1mm thicker than what was delivered for my personal enclosure! Fortunately, this means a more robust case, but all the side brackets and [some of the] pads have to be reprinted. I started the brackets today and am about halfway done, then on to the pads.

Based on where things are today, the February timeline should be no problem, but expect to see things start shipping next week! I appreciate everyone's patience; future enclosure runs should go smoother (the new laser upgrade should help).

Hopefully the final update before shipping!

As of now, everything is ready but the mounting feet. Fortunately they are very simple and will print nice and quickly.

I'm swamped with work this week, preparing for a convention next week, but will be test fitting my spare PR board to make sure everything fits and looks good. Assuming that's a go, everything will be packaged over the weekend and shipped next week. If there are any odd little snags, they should be minor and I'll update here.

I apologize again for the hiccups along the way and appreciate everyone's patience. It was a reasonably simple project marred by some misfortune. If I do another round of enclosures I will definitely make a point to have as much ready as possible before doing a preorder.

Very close. Test fitting went well, so all the printed parts and cut pieces fit nicely. Two (final) issues:

- the red spacers for the tall standoffs are 1mm too short. I looked over my order history and this was my mistake. Replacements have been ordered, delivery 2/12-2/16.
- I have to reorder one set of stainless screws because the thicker acrylic caused my original specced screw to be JUST too short. Delivery this Thursday.

I've already contacted the sellers about expedited shipping as I'm really pushing to get these sent to you all this week.

Pic attached is my spare PR board with partially assembled enclosure from this batch. I think everyone is going to be very happy with how these turned out.

Everything else is packed and ready to go, pending the final bit of hardware.

Dude this is the most delayed Christmas present gratification I’ve ever had. This is FREAKING AWESOME! Can’t wait to get it and assemble this beauty of a case 🙏🏼
 
I appreciate the patience and apologize that it couldn't have happened sooner. At this point, these are 100% ready to go with the exception of a piece of off-the-shelf hardware. As soon as I have a firm delivery date on the hardware I will post a firm shipping date. Hopefully some of the little extras will help :)

I'm weighing up not using my kit, so could look to transfer my one to you if @plasticfactory was fine for that?

(I've been told from a guy I've bought from before that a dedicated PR will be coming up soon, so weighing up selling this case and my current PR board, as this case would go to waste inside a dedicated cabinet)
