What's new
Batsugun is un-fixable, unfortunately - and was a bit of a curve-ball so I had to re-write a lot of the code. On the plus side, the refactor made things a bit simpler and more stable.

I made a page on what the scaler does with a few details here, which will hopefully make things a little clearer what the scaler is and what it's not:

Invzim - thanks for the update. Looks great and cannot wait to order a few (maybe in time for Christmas?). One question : it looks like the sync output is TTL, i understood this to be bad for LCD monitors. Is there an option to attenuate this to bring it down to safe levels so i can use a LCD monitor (would be connecting via VGA port on the monitor).... Or have i misunderstood (perfectly possible)? Thanks
If you think this, then probably a lot of other people do too - so thanks for feedback, I should probably put an explanation somewhere somehow.
VGA has 5V sync, which is often called TTL - so this is 100% standard VGA sync and will pose no issues with LCD's.
Thanks Invizm for your quick and clear reply. I can certainly act as the lowest common denominator - if i understand it, it means everyone will :). That is good news and cannot wait for this. Will order as soon as they are available.

BIG thanks to @rtw who pulled out a lot of boxes and put the Scaler through it's paces last couple of days. Also big thanks to @geekmiki who helped test the console side of things.

The sources are analog and sometimes noisy, which there is not a lot that can be done about - but in general I'm very pleased with the results.

Hi, very impressive work! :)

It's not available through the shop at the moment, isn't it?

It is finally available! Plan was to have it out in 2019, but didn't anticipate cutting it this close :)

Head over to https://irkenlabs.com/store/products to snag one.

I can ship out tomorrow Monday, and possibly Friday.

I'm trying to check out and it won't allow me to because I can't select a shipping option.
Man, thanks for feedback! Forgot to enable shipping and set length/weight for the FedEx thingie. Please try again

Congrats on the release!

I’m looking forward to hearing about anyone’s experience with this once they get it. It’s hard for me to pull the trigger yet, as I’d need a jammafier also. I’d love to hear if people are happy with jammafier+A1 as a way to jamma-fy a Vewlix vs existing methods.

No worries, and thanks, successfully checked out this time!

Good job and well done Invizm for bringing this to the market. Placed my order and looking forward to it. Happy Christmas!

Got mine today! Thanks a lot! Do I have to power it through USB when used with a Jammifier?

Delivered safe and sound indeed, damn that was quick! 8o

Only had a quick chance to play around, but from what I can see it looks sweet. Bit of Jamma on the Vewlix C is working nicely.

Great work as always @invzim thank you

USB from Jammifier to Scaler works great. Beautiful stable image, love it!

Yup, the USB port on the Jammafier was put there for the scaler to make it a bit easier inside the cab.

So my use case might be a tad different from your original design and not sure how/if you want to solve some syncing issues or just write it up to "sammargh is doing stupid shit" but here goes:
ReoG0hGl.jpg

Got your scaler and one of the things I wanted to use it with is my x68k CRT as it doesn't like composite sync. I'm able to get it to function with 15khz sources if I turn bypass on, color to 75-ohm and sync to scart. If I turn the bypass off the monitor sees a 31khz signal but is unable to sync to it and everything rolls/is skewed. It works as-is with bypass considering the CRT is a tri-sync but it does seem that there's something wrong with the sync being output on the line-doubled signal.
