Hi just got a lindbergh universal ☺️
And I'm trying to install 🙃 my ringedge2 multi and I'm having problems

1. I can't find the power cable that goes from the cab to the ringedge2. Where do I get Power from inside the cab? Cab has a JQA No. 01-0978 power supply.

2. The ringedge2 is DVI and the cab is VGA.
I removed the back panel and plugged a DVI-D single link cable, is this ok?

3. Some one cut two cables coming down from the monitor area or control panel 🤔

It doesn't exist.

What I did was I took out the 01-0978 power supply and made a short adapter that converts the AC input connector for the 01-0978 to one that fits RE2. If you ask @dos or @Lemony Vengeance I'm sure they can make you one. Take pictures of both connectors. They're both JST, RE2 is VH.

The DC output connectors then connect to the RE2.

Dvi to vga is fine with these generally.

The monitor in the Lindbergh actually has a DVI input connector too. So yeah, try that first, and if it doesn't work for whatever reason, a DVI to VGA adapter will work for sure.

Thanks @nem Would you happen to know what the 01-0978 power supply is for? Is it for a naomi 🤔? I always thought ringedge and ringedge2 were native to a lindbergh cab but I guessing I was wrong 😅 🤷

It's for Lindbergh, but you could use it for Naomi or System 2x6 with the correct harness.

see that blue tape wire on the LEFT? ... that's the Ringedge power coming from the back. I received the cab like that and it had 2 power plugs... I believe I plugged it in the cab now? but when I put the Ringedge2 multi back in, I'll wire it properly to the Lindbergh PS cause it's not super clean...

The problem with the AC socket at the back is that if you turn off the cab from the cab power switch, the RE2 will still be powered.

The AC socket is meant for daisy chaining cabs.

Yeah that ... so I guess I turned it off with another switch or something ... badly made and why I'll fix it when I put the Ringedge back. (cause let's face it, Dead or Alive 5 is better then Virtua Fighter 5...)
