What's up guys, me and @Mukuro_W we got hold of these 9 beauties.
The restoration work will be huge and there will be a series of problems to be solved which I will talk about later.
Unfortunately, a couple of important pieces are missing and three of these are in bad shape and without front panel and black bezel.
So we will need the help of @YATON to complete them (and not only).

Great set of cabs there and a fantastic project to undertake 👍
All the best!

wow, they look great even in this condition! are these for a private collection or do you guys have a location you will put them in once completed?

Amazing pickup in this day and age! Looking forward to your progress on these for when I eventually do my own! [astrocity]

UPDATE:
I'm sorry for the long time spent without updates, but there were so many things to do and more problems to solve.
In my opinion, a healthy CRT makes 90% of a cabinet, that's why the first thing to do is undoubtedly to secure the monitor and electronics.
Here are some photos of the washed monitors and the overhauled and re-capped electronics.
I will post updates shortly.

UPDATE:

After disassembling the NAC I saw that the lower rear was badly damaged:

I solved it by creating a new fiberglass piece, which I glued with the same resin.
The result was excellent, after painting you will not see anything.

UPDATE:

Hi Guys, i will not document all the disassembly and cleaning phases of each astro city, first because the site is full of this information and second because it would be too long.
I'd like to show you this little "Upgade" that I decided to do in the first astro city, hope you like it.
I decided to mount the astro city 2 power supply (SEGA 400-5220), with SEGA MODEL 1 amplifer for stereo sound (SEGA 838-8689).

After cleaning and recapping the power supply and amplifier, I proceeded to assembly.
As for the placement of the amp, I decided to use the case of the old amp (SEGA 601-6227-01), making some changes.

I had to prepare these three cables to finish the job, because the old amp had different wiring:

Here is the finished work,
I decided to change the unobtainable red 4 pin male amp up with the yellow one (like in the NVS 4000):

Obviously I replaced the old speakers of the astro, with logitech Z5500.
Now the sound is really great
