Well shit, I was going to pass since it was so close to the original, but now you're making it hard on me!!!!! Let's see how this shakes out!Well if testing goes well you might have the option for us to assemble yours with RCA jacks for additional options.
I'm sure that something can be arranged to engineer an adapter that won't parasitically drain power from the STV itself.. I would need more information about the sound board itself to determine the best lenght of cable, connectors, etc. I'll ping you on discord. When I say add-ons it's because the sound pcb requires its own power. A potential add-on could be a jamma fingerboard adapter that will power the sound pcb but we could also use that same fingerboard to provide mono sound to jamma from the sound board. Though honestly the stereo is the magic.
Maybe some members such as @everten or @Lemony Vengeance would like to offer some solutions to help people power their pcb or get the best sound from their cabinets. Most cabinets aren't wired for stereo and I'm sure other members would appreciate their experience.
Stay tuned for my post tomorrow. Thanks guys!!!
Fuck yeah!
I say just add, $20 to have the capability is worth it. Plus the connectors were hard to find anyway, they just dont make them anymore and yeah you saw the prices on the ones we found so...Yep. Thanks for helping me find the right connectors. They don't use this footprint anymore so unfortunately they aren't cheap.
Just need to decide how to handle this now. Do i only sell them as an add-on? 5 of these connectors is about $20. Or do I just go ahead and add them to every pcb and we just add $20 to everyone's orders at shipping time? What does the group think?
