MITSU Wait List: Batman Forever sound pcb repro

The Lions plates have been sold out for a while, yes?
Yes, they are sold out. Hopefully he will restock. I suppose you could use these SVG files in the link below. You’ll just need to make make a few modifications for the LCD and use the top plate as a template for the bottom plate. Shouldn’t be too difficult and I’m sure there’s someone on here that could easily modify and repost the files. Then find a laser cutting service. There’s plenty online.

Here's a a preview of what I'll be releasing before long. Right now I'm working on an insert for the cartridge cutout on the Lions3 top cover to mount the OLED selector. I figure this setup will help at least a handful of people that bought this case long ago and later switched to the dark knight multi and picked up the sound board. Really looking forward to that jamma adapter @mathewbeall!

mounting it upside down eh? You could use one of the 12v headers to run a fan through that so that heat doesn't built up there. Of course, I have no idea how hot those heatsinks actually get.

That's nice.
Completely solves the st-v flex problem with sh2 also.
Would be a fan of a fan...could power it off the @mathewbeall board? Fan header?

Optionally if they're actively cooled in home use, you could pry cut the heatsinks in half...or use a different heatsink.
Wouldn't do it if using it as a cabinet amp though or arcade use.

my guess is that these are this big because they are designed to be passively cooled in a hot environment (mostly enclosed arcade cabinet). Probably way over engineered and don't TECHNICALLY need a fan, but hey - keeping things cooler never hurt them.

I bet there's an alternative much smaller heatsink out there with the same footprint a fan would screw onto.

Other options are mounting it nearby.
2 fans on those would be plenty.

Yeah I had to go upside down to fit it in the case, those heatsinks are huge. I’ve been eyeing those 12v fan headers for exactly that. I haven’t figured out where I might mount them though, but there should be some room in the front to run a pair of fans back across the huge heatsinks.

Mitsu, if you ever make another batch of the audio boards, please add me to the list. Your work on them has been fantastic.
