you missed this:I currently have 2 of the old ones - not really liking the idea of buying new ones for the HDD support
The talk before was that the first one could be updated with a firmware update - I guess that is no longer the case
I do intend to try and backport the hard disk support to the old version of the PCB, I haven't yet confirmed if it'll work or not

it wasn't. the first design was intended for Konami 573 use, specifically for rhythm games on that platform like DDR.If his first design was created with the specific intention of supporting all 246 games and never did then I might be a bit unamused.
