That RGB-2YC device is actually something im currently looking at and thinking about getting. Pretty sure thats exactly what I want. Im going to also be doing some traveling to tournaments/local events with my setup so being able to hook up the CPS3 to any run of the mill CRT would be the best bet for me. The RGB2COMP seems more for personal use, I might be picking that up as well since I own a couple of CRTs with Component inputWouldn't this work for composite?

Besides that, the RGB2COMP device @drfunk2k linked should take care of it nicely if you want to use component video instead, which is a significant improvement upon composite IMO. I have one of these and use it on my CRT with several different superguns without issue. Great little device.
