What's new
i only use SCART cable for JAMMA boards. JVS boards i run directly to monitor and use the cbox to control and power some JVS systems

Yeah, totally. I guess I'm just wondering, if I do eventually buy a JAMMA-based board later, if it's better to use Axun's SCART cable or a different one. What do you use?

The Axun cable feels high quality to me, but you could build one as good yourself if you wanted to.
Not really worth the time, compared to just buying one though imo.

how long does it take for a control/box and naomi net dim to ship to the states ?

1. everything is made by hand and to order.
2. that means if you order today, maybe two orders are a head of you
3. we build your order
4. email is sent out with tracking
5. you get it.

4-6+ weeks at least.
You can always message me and I can update you.
If you want quality and can wait a bit for the hot shit then cool
if you want instant satisfaction then we are not that
Most of the GREAT devices have a waiting lists the arcade scene

Our customers are very satisfied with their products, feel free to ask them here <3 :D
We wish we could make things faster, but its one man making all of this.
I want to add one more thing that people don't know, this is not his full time job..

FROM AXUN: (Translated best i could)

It is actually a compatibility issue. Because he uses RGB directly, there is no problem. But there will be some problems when converting to HDMI. So it can also be said to be a problem with the converter.
There are only two ways. To make the signal source RGB more compatible, another way is to make the converter more compatible. This is a problem of double coordination, not a problem of one.
How to become more compatible while ensuring better picture quality is a problem under study.

thats completely cool, didn't mean to offend you, I was just curios about the turn around rate, the stuff in your webbpage looks hell a cool

We will release a plug and play HDMI decoder boards. We have a prototype that works. This solves the issue
That sounds great.

I'll most likely jump in when that is available for sale. Thanks!

Yep. Wait can be long, but quality is worth it. These are the best products currently available on the market. Nothing else is on par, currently.

Mine just got here! I ordered mine back in the beginning of December 2020 but with Chinese New Year being in February, there was a small delay. The build quality is amazing. From the box itself to the cables I ordered along with it, everything looks and feels extremely well made. You can tell Axun puts a lot of time in his products and it shows. I want to personally thank @drfunk2k for staying in contact with me throughout the entire process and updating me along the way. He was very quick to respond to any questions I might’ve had and let me know exactly what was going on. I was a little worried about the delay I mentioned earlier but he was very quick to update me on the situation. I cannot wait to set this up fully later on today and finally play some 3rd Strike the way it’s meant to be played! Extremely, extremely satisfied with this product and the customer service behind it. 10/10.

Thank you @agoss1989 We really appreciate your words!

Guys i got a message from @agoss1989
He tried to use RGBS on his CRT television, but hooked it up like composite. I told him this is not going to work.
Axun Supergun is a RGB-SCART or BNC machine. (RGB for color and Yellow is Sync) this is typical in the Arcade scene.

POSSIBLE FIX: If you used a TV with COMPONENT inputs you could use
https://www.retrotink.com/product-page/rgb2comp
CBOX (Eu-SCART) > RGB2COMP > TV

Anyone have any suggestions for @agoss1989 to go from CBOX to composite?

Im fairly new to the arcade scene, my bad . Im still all very new to this and bought the Axun supergun because I recently came across a CPS3 board with 3rd Strike. 3s is my favorite fighting game that Im still fairly active in and wanted to own a piece of arcade hardware to play offline at home. Sorry about the mistake but any help would be appreciated. I do have other CRTs with both Component inputs and Composite inputs, if thats any help. lmao

Wouldn't this work for composite?
http://m.axunworks.com/RGB-to-Composite-S-Video-p341706.html

Besides that, the RGB2COMP device @drfunk2k linked should take care of it nicely if you want to use component video instead, which is a significant improvement upon composite IMO. I have one of these and use it on my CRT with several different superguns without issue. Great little device.

That RGB-2YC device is actually something im currently looking at and thinking about getting. Pretty sure thats exactly what I want. Im going to also be doing some traveling to tournaments/local events with my setup so being able to hook up the CPS3 to any run of the mill CRT would be the best bet for me. The RGB2COMP seems more for personal use, I might be picking that up as well since I own a couple of CRTs with Component input

I run one of these and it works great:

https://www.retrotink.com/product-page/rgb2comp

But I got it when it was $40 (maybe $50) so the price couldn't be beat. At $70 you have some options which all cost the same, but that being said, the RetroTINK is a great product so you could stick with it.

For RGB to Composite, I'd go with the one linked above, but man, at $90 you should look at some of the "SCART to composite" adapters out there, they are usually under $10. I have NO idea if they add lag though, which obviously would be a no go. If they don't, I don't think you need all the features of the $90 one, but if you do go with it, do NOT accidentally plug in your Euro SCART plug into the Japanese SCART on it!
