What I hope is the final revision of the dual xtal pcb

Ordered should be here soon. Hoping @ekorz can lend a hand again to verify it.

Man, Im really hoping these crystals work as advertised because the components shortage is really messing things up.
is there a reason u opted for surface mount instead of thru-hole like the originals? cuz last i looked on digikey, about a month ago, there were hundreds of 10 and 12 mhz

oh wow, holy shit. i didnt realize that
It’s due to the size. Using the the other crystals would have taken triple the space of one and the pcb would have needed extra supports, protection for the through hole pins, etc. Mitsu recommended the change which I think it’s an awesome idea, but finding compatible surface mount crystals have been a pain.

Looks fantastic! Happy to test again, no problem. Just lemme know which friggin crystal goes where ;)

It will come assembled this time, just set you sd card back to default settings.:D

I put together that 2nd one and put everything back to normal already.

On the bottom of that board is it supposed to be “Q Q R”? If the main header is connecting/routing all signals to the multi-b-board then don’t you only need connections for one Q and one R anyway?

The header that says multi is going to the multi board connections. The empty through holes qqr would be solder points to connect to the A board points, the extra Q point is in case you want to use a separate wire to run that to the rca audio switch board that is in the works. Many ways to get things connected, so I figure I would give you guys options. You can use them all or just plug in the Dash point only, choices 😁

Excellent,
Will you give us gerber to do it ourselves if we prefer, or will you sell it only?

I would like to thanks Darksoft, Mitsurigi, shoot the core and Saveyourgame and all the contributors who could make the multi cps1 real. I could set up my multi and it works flawlessly. No issue no glitch it s perfect.
Once again excellent job Darksoft.

I'm not very familiar with CP SYSTEM I outside of Japan, but before Street Fighter II'CE, I could only use up to 1M EP-ROM in Japan's CP SYSTEM.
However, since Street Fighter II'CE, it has become CPS DASH, and 4M EP-ROM can be used.
The 1941, which was released before Street Fighter II'CE, is a 1M EP-ROM.

I don't understand why 1941 WORLD uses 4M ROM in MAME.
The 1941 WORLD supported by MAME may be the same as the resale version in Japan.

Many of the 1941 copies that are on the market are resold.

That's all I know.

Most World/US versions of CPS1 used 4M mask roms instead of 1M eproms for graphics data. The program roms are usually 1M. 1941 World used a different B-board than Japan release to support the 4M roms, 89624B-3. Here is a photo of a 1941 World that I used to own: https://www.mvs-scans.com/index.php/CPS1_-_1941:_Counter_Attack

A lot of 1941 that are sold today are conversions from other titles with modified/hacked program roms. Original 1941 used the CPS-B-05 chip on C-board which is very uncommon. It was only used in 1941 and a rare revision of Final Fight.

In the resale version, you can shoot the wall of STAGE 4 and get points.

The regular version of the PCB uses 1M rom.
The resale version of the PCB uses 4M Rom.

This is cool! I didn't know a resale version of 1941 existed. Do you have any photos of the pcb?
