DARKSOFT CPS1 Multi - Support thread

Sorry, I could hear the qsound from multi pcb's dedicated audio output.. :)

Finally, all clear.. yay!!

Hope I can challenge the spin controller separately in the near future...

Thank you so much.. let me enjoy this beauty..

Hi! :)

I have some problems with the multi-CPS1 received a few days ago :)

The first problem is that the music is buggy and I don't have the character sound effects. ;(

The only game that works without problems is Dai Makaimura. X/

there is also a problem with the credits, it is impossible to add one. :S

I was wondering if this was from the set rom ? ?(

Could the Z80 of the motherboard be too low in terms of frequency ?

The motherboard works perfectly with an original Final Fight game & everything has been capkited and a brand new Oki audio mixer

I provide you with photos of my assembly and a video to hear the sound problem.

Thank you for your help

Your pictures aren’t loading large for me. If you could upload them here rather than on another site that might help.

Two things off the head though. Did you program your sound board? Did you replace your GAL?

Hi! :)

Yes I replace a New GAL .

Program the soundboard ?

Is the process described in the kit manual instructions ?

Multi-CPS1 Test Album

Hi! :)

I'll come back to you.

So I did all the tests possible with :

Two 12MHZ DASH Motherboards,

Two CPS1.X Multi Dual Crystal,

Two C-Boards reproduction Darksoft.

Two Micro SD cards.

[

The micro SDs are well formatted in Fat32

The qsound.bin file at the root of the Micro SD cannot read it, it tells me No Micro SD card detection, I think this has already been done.

If the ROM pack is on the Micro SD, yes, it is detected.

I tried all the Rom packs,

Darksoft CPS-1 2024-01-05

Darksoft CPS-1 Euro + World Region Pack v2.2

Darksoft CPS-1 Japan Region Pack v2.2

Darksoft CPS-1 USA Region Pack v2.2

Same problem. X/:S

So no Sound Effects and a horrible beat in the music with all the games.

Thank you for your help

What is that thing on the left where your PCB is getting the JAMMA connector from? Can you try in a cabinet or in a regular Supergun?

Could you also remove or disable the clock selector to discard this as the source of the problem?

what's to the left of the PCB is just my Jamma To JVS adapter from River Service, a very good converter.

I don't have a Super Gun.

But be aware that the first video was made on a New Net city with the Jammafier from Irken Labs at someone's home, and the other video on 2 other New Net cities at my home.

I don't think it would change anything if it was connected to an Artisanal supergun.

Yes I will try to do the test with just the original Crystal 12mhz :)

@chacal231077 I'm not sure what else to try at this stage. Probably as you are in EU, best would be to pack it and send to me. I'll have a look. Send me a PM and we'll move on from there.

Hi guys. I have just purchased a Darksoft multi and have a question. I am going to use it with a Supergun. How I have to proceed for getting the stereo q sound in cps1.5 games? Does It goes out through jamma? I think not and I wonder I have to wire a RCA (or something like that) direct from the front of the multi cps1 to the stereo input on the TV (Sony Trinitron) but I m not sure. Thanks!

I know, you refer to service menu but... Not wiring through the cps1 "sound out" required?
