If you have mcpx2 just flash it add ram and good to go.
Though these are extremely uncommon.
Mcpx3 requires more and the cracked bios but easily obtained.

I have successfully converted a v1.0. You have to keep the small input PCB that mounts the 1.0 otherwise you will have error 02.

There's nothing special with 1.0's, you just need the USB riser -- the MCP requires it.

The v1.0 is the only one to mount this small additional PCB of the inputs.
It must be absolutely kept on the chihiro conversion, otherwise you will have the error 02.
This small pcb mounts an oscillator crystal and other logic.
