Namco Exceleena 1 + 2 cabinets.

Does anyone know much about the little coin board in the cabinet? Mine’s been disconnected and wires cut to adapt to an Australian currency at some stage. I want to return it to its original setup and wondering what the logic of this thing is.

Mine stopped accepting coins at some point, and I suspect something on that little board gave out and caused the problem. Never got around to looking into it.

Following this subject with great interest. :)

I might hit you up for some pics if that’s okay if I have any trouble setting mine up.

Has anyone ever had the metal bottom piece for the control panel on the Exceleena 2 repainted/powder coated?
I've got a guy that can do it for mine, but I want to be sure I get the color right.
any tips would be appreciated!
Realized I never updated. Had a welder friend patch the hole and got both my lowers powdered.
Color is ever so slightly different, but I'm more than happy

Nice job @bartre. Which bits do you mean “lowers”? I’m just curious as I’m restoring my EX1 as you know and always keen to see how other people do things. 😃

I'm referring to part 10 from the manual.
The 2s control panel piece just comes off rather than being on any kind of a hinge, and the tray attached to the cab has (i think) 8 screws that just hug it to the front of the machine.

Hey Exceleena owners. Is anyone running a Japanese coin mech in their machine. Like a an Asahi Seiko? If so would you mind posting a picture so I can see what parts I need to get one going? I have the mounting and coin mech but not sure about the switch and wiring side. Cheers.

I now also have the mounting and coin mech, and I also am not sure about the switch and wiring side.

The factory coin mech is a Conlux N563-1, the Conlux N560 is a drop-in replacement - just need to source some more retaining pins.

I bought mine here (Aussie seller) despite being advertised as parts or repair it works perfectly. My one looks like it has never been used. Probably chucked all the Japanese mechs in storage when they converted them for Aussie currency and found the box 30 years later.

So yes, now I have the exact same problem, hoping that someone has a solution...

Apparently brand new Conlux N560

Assume I'm missing something back here, must be a microswitch that ticks as the coin passes - not sure how that microswitch is retained or how it is attached to the harness.

The manual talks about part #54 "Coin (B) PC Board 461-601" so its also the microswitch attaches to the Coin (B) PCB, and the harness attaches to that board?

Looks like the Coin (B) PC board provides the following

SW6 (coin credit) which is the microswitch in the coin mech
SW5 (service credit) service credit momentary-switch on the service panel (but on mine is weirdly wired up behind the coin door)
SW4 (test menu) which is the test menu slide-switch by the service panel

It also ticks over the 9v credit counter that should be fitted in the cab (mine is missing) and sends the coin count signal to JAMMA pin 8 (coin counter 1)

So the easy fix for my use case would be to use a switch like this

Find some way to retain it on the back of the coin mech, and wire that to GND and JAMMA pin 16 (COIN1) and optional JAMMA pin 8 (COUNT1)
