It's been a minute since I've last used this setup as I eventually got an external card reader but it's definitely worked.

Note: wiring was since cleaned up after this video :) it was all dummy testing haha
 
I upgraded my Naomi 2 netboot setup to use WiPi last month and this definitely made it so much nicer to use! Would strongly recommend upgrading to anyone still using an older setup.

That's weird, that volume doesn't even exist.

How are you extracting the files? Assuming you downloaded all the files (don't need the .rev ones iirc), then used winrar or 7zip to extract the image from the first file WiPi6-1-4.part01.rar?

I got an NFC reader and hooked it up to the Raspberry Pi 4 but I am not able to switch games while playing a game.

My goal is to be able to either get to the OSM or switch games directly when tapping on the NFC.

I have connected the NFC to all 4 USB ports already. Wipi is setup that when it boots it goes directly to the OSM. In the web interface I have written the NFC cards. The reader/writer wipes the image successfully, then writes it successfully but also says “write error” afterwards. When I read the card under card management I can see that the information was written on the card.

Whenever the tap the card while playing a game, I get the beeps but the Naomi does not stop the take and goes into the loading screen.

The only time I was able to load a game through the NFC was when I loaded Initial D and had the C/W error blinking for about 10 minutes. After that I got back into the white loading screen. Then I tapped the card and I was able to load a game.

What are the settings I need to have to make this work?

Would like to get this to work too but first I just want to be able to switch games using the NFC.
 
How do I add a new rom into the rom list and have it show up on the netbooter.local UI? I have another version of a rom I want to try out but I don't know how to make it selectable. I added the rom into the roms folder and also added a new line into the config CSV file. What else do I need to do?

Hmm, looks like I need to modify the gameslist.php file?

I was able to get the sidewinder force feedback connected and loaded to openjvs. I am trying to play club kart now. When I press the gas paddle all the way down the kart drives very slow. The wheel is also inverted. So when I turn right the kart turns left. How can this be fixed. Also I prefer that there is no button bringing up the test menu. Is it possible to recalibrate it. I also don’t see mappings for club Kart. I haven’t tried the other games yet. Can you start initial d without the card reader.

yes. you can deactivate the card reader in the setup
 
Sorry for asking this if it's already been addressed. I've been trying for a couple weeks to figure it out and finally am gonna just ask for help. I can't seem to get the full image to write properly. It writes successfully with win32 disk imager. With Etcher there will be a verification error. When I load it up on the pi 3b+, nothing happens. No wifi network shows up.

I am able to verify that my setup works because I can load the img with no included roms and it comes up and I am able to follow the instructions to make it work.

If anyone can help a noob out here, thanks!

Thank you for the help. In which setup do I go? On the browser in netbooter.local or in the test menu of the Naomi?
 
I was able to get to the test menu and setup the gas paddle however, I am not able to reach MAX. I set the acceleration all the way to right to +40 but still I am not able to reach MAX.

What else can I do?

I would say in a way. But this speed does not let me play. The cars in the front are gone and I am not able to even keep up with the countdown of 40ish second. All the cars are long gone and the clock just ticks down. How can I get max speed?
