they're quite amazing! Tie the whole ease of use with @twistedsymphony board for a rotary encoder to switch games and it makes it that much better! no more fiddling with dip switches!

I am going to put my UltraSIMMs setup in Jasen's case, is it ok for the extra long Dipswitch cable to be just sitting on the motherboard ? or should should I tie it and tape to the top of the case ?

it should be fine. mine rests on the board now and i have no case. orders in for jasens but that will be a while before it shows up.
My sister finally visited & brought the UltraSimms I ordered last year up 
I'm not sure what's in the cartridge I have but given I haven't used the Proman before, I figure there's no harm in trying the standard SH2 set and seeing what loads up. Worst case it sounds like I wind up reflashing or getting a new cart.

Just open the cart up and check, the standard & Capcom SH2's look different enough that you should be able to tell what you have. I don't have images off-hand, but I'm sure a Google search will pull them right up.
Security bolts were griefing me yesterday. I'm assuming this to be standard & should be OK but I'm basing that off the previous pictures. The ones with additional wiring on the back are the only clear giveaways to me so please correct me if that's wrong

Figures! Am I correct in thinking the custom cannot run 4rd strike / palmod versions? Last I saw you had 3 left but I'm assuming those have been sold.

Correct, the Custom SH2 CPU can only run the original games, not modded games.
