PGM single game PCB assembly and troubleshooting

I just looked through my inbox, I don't seem to have it any more. I'll have to go through my stash of 27c322 if I can find it, though that may take quite some time.

Two things you can try:
- I just had a problem with crashes in another project, turns out the flux in the solder I used is not the "no clean" type. Make sure if you have flux residue on your PCB that you clean it off.
- Is the program ROM for KOV 2 a 27c322 or 27c160? If it is a 27c160 it may work if you close JP2. See if it boots into the game.
Good idea, I will check the KOV ROM again with JP2 closed.

It would be great if you can take a look at your 27c322 stash as it seems like @iq_132 is MIA and I dont think anyone else has the source code to the ROM generator tool :(

Finished building my last cart tonight (ESPGaluda) and noticed that I have an off graphic glitch.

It only appears on the Ageha Sprite on character select, and EVERY boss sprite.

Did I burn a chip incorrectly or is maybe one of my EPRoms bad? Everything else plays and sounds perfectly, it just seems like a corrupt sprite layer or something.

Anyone ever see this before?

my esp also has faint graphics glitches. the clouds on character select is noticeably flickering and during gameplay sometimes the bombs glitch. I think fluffy at some point directed me to a chip to look at but I never got around to it.

Dear readers

I have graphic glithes on the background layer. It is visible on the title screen, the AMI screen has black randoms and in gameplay background.

I use the dual P1 to get the new/ ols select screen on boot.

DDP is "special" in regards of being bitchy. It is either your PGM or one of the chips is not recognized correctly (Faulty chip, missing data, bend pins).

I've seen DDP glitching (even the original bee storm!) in one pgm and working fine in another (repeatable error). This only happend to me with DDP.

Check your chips and if available test with another PGM.

I instal a new battery.

Thanks a lot for this! Very fun project to put together. First time I've ever had to use a programmer for anything. Had to fix my PGM board in the midst of testing everything but it all went pretty smoothly otherwise.

do don pachi white and black ? How to do please? What's case do you use? 3d print?

I am working on building these now and I went through all the pages in this thread. What resistors are supposed to go in r2, r3, and r4? The original build doesn't seem to have these but the PCBs I ordered with the .grb files have them. They must have been added at some point.

Thanks for the reply. The R1 resistor was listed as 100 ohm. Do I still use 100 ohm for that one?
R2,R3,R4 should have resistors only if you use for U5 & U6 Lattice gal16v8 .

R1 ( 100 ohm , 0.6w , axial ) is for Atmel gal16v8

i use to have only R1 because im using atmel gal’s

so , if you use something else but the Atmel chip.. just mount the 3 extra 10K resistors to the PCB and you should be fine

you also
can mount all resistors from 1 to 4 and use lets say one gal Lattice & one gal Atmel, but its up what parts you have
