What's new

Those of you with 512MB and 1GB DIMM boards...

@Gakman in such cases Naomi side do nothing, but display messages sent by DIMM onscreen. so its all up on DIMM firmware code, which does actual tests etc.

Can confirm these sticks work as well in 2x 512MB setup :D

Just picked up a pair of the Samsung that Mitsurugi posted, might as well upgrade my 10 dollar Dimm 8)

I bought a few SIMMs to test. These 512mb SIMMs work great to upgrade the DIMMs:

I also bought two of these. Converted my other DIMM and work great:

Samsung PC133U 133mhz 256MB RAM M366S3253CTS-C7A

I bought two of the 512mb SIMMs. I didn't try to uograde to 1gb because I wasn't sure what game requires it.

I bought a pair of the MT16LSDT646AG-133B2 512MB that Mitsurugi had mentioned and tested the paired (1gb). For me, VF4: FT version b produces an error 22. However, when I use only one stick (512mb), there's no issues... I tested both sticks individually and had no problems. But only installed as a pair, would it produce this error.

My stock memory sticks for the dimm are a pair of samsung M366S3323CT0-C75Q0 (256mb). And obviously the stock pair works fine...

Any thoughts?

These Chinese generics are no bueno.

They test good but the games will just load/check memory ad infinitum until it error 21s.

Nice thread however none of these 2 matching Samsung M366S3323CT0-C7A worked with my NetDIMM.
Getting black screen with either one inserted :(

When you say "either one inserted" do you mean you are only putting one in at a time?

Or are you putting both in at the same time?

?(

I've tried with both ram inserted at the same time then with one at a time and on different slots.
Rams are either damaged or not compatible with this NetDImm.

As @pzlate said, try running it only with one of the simms at each time. See which ones give you trouble. I guess it's the chinese.
