for now put the good stick in slot 1 and the bad stick in slot 2 and test on some small games (Ikaruga for example is the smallest NAOMI game)

Even though ikaruga says on the chart you need 256mb? Because technically i only have a 128mb working.

I know it doesn't have to be in pairs - I have used a single 512gb before...

Give it a shot with the 1GB - it will either work, or won't... I don't think you can damage it if the package fits.

Sooooo ikaruga worked with the 2 128mb dimm even though one is bad , im gonna go grab that 1gb kinston dimm from a friends to then test it out with that one.

It probably lists 256 because I doubt they sold any netdimm setups with less than 256...

And since it all fits in the first DIMM - you don’t have any problem running it.

IIRC, these require PC100 or PC133

Positive air pressure should win out on the dust issue - you control the point of entry (the fan).
Of course you need a filter on the fan to ensure only clean air is being pushed in, which the Naomi for example doesn't have, so... kind of fails at the implementation stage is guess...

Yes, but adding a filter has an impact on the airflow. To compensate for that, you need a faster (noisier) fan.

Besides the fact it decreases cooling, dry dust isn't very harmfull for electronics (it's not conductive).
You can easily blow a pcb clean with a compressor. (Monitor chassis are less forgiving)

Would anyone one know why i dont have all the characters unlocked with the “Unlocked” version of MVC2?.

Somwone said you need to load a different game to erase the PCB memory and then reload the unlocked version.
