How to Net-boot NAOMI/Tri-Force/Chihiro Using Pi-Force Tools

Piforce Web, and I assume the LCD version, too, expects either of these names:
mslug6.bin
AW -Violent Metal Slug 6.bin

Also, the CSV file in /boot/config/romsinfo.csv needs to have the row set to Yes in order to display it in your list. I don't know what it is by default, but it's probably set to Yes already.

Is it possible you're filtering on Sega Naomi and need to switch to Sammy Atomiswave in the UI?

I can't help much beyond this since I don't have a full blown Piforce Web setup in place.

Modifying Pi-Force Tools Game Names/Adding Games that don't show up/Changing the IP address

On your SD card there is a folder called "piforcetools" and inside that folder is a file called "gamelist.py" ("piforcetools.py" on older versions) If you edit this file in any plain text editor (such as notepad.exe) In this file you'll see lots of code but you'll also see a list of ROM file names and associated titles. If you're not seeing your game in the list after you've added it to the roms folder then chances are that file name is not on the file here. I would recommend keeping your roms named the same as the file names listed here, so that if you ever upgrade pi-force-tools you wont have to edit in your custom names all over again. You can of course add new files to this list as well simply following the format of the existing files listed.

There is also a list of IP addresses here, this is the list of addresses that you can select from the "change destination" option when running Pi-Force-Tools. The first IP address in the list will be the default that is always selected when you boot your Raspberry-Pi, and the other options are the ones that you can change too once the Raspberry-Pi has been booted.

There seems to be some misunderstanding here, maybe due to a language barrier. As I understand it, you're using Piforce Web. This is probably not the correct thread for your questions, then. This is a thread for Piforce-tools, using and LCD screen, not a web interface.

Maybe try here:

Which raspberry pi image are you using for your SD card, piforce web, piforce tools? Please provide a link to the image download or website so we know better how to help.

the most important thing right now is for you to state which piforce image you are using right now since we're all speculating which makes helping you a lot harder.

What I suggest is the following

Download PiForce-Web details from: https://github.com/chunksin/Piforce-Web

- burn .img to a card (I use a 64gb)
- expand the file system in Windows to copy bins in (if you're not familiar with this process, you'll have to find out)
- copy your bins to the roms folder
- Set the net dim to 192.168.1.2
- Use a network cable from the net dimm to the pi
- Turn everything on
- Search for a wifi network called "naomi" and connect using the password segarocks
- Browse to any page - I just browse to chunksin.com for the fun of it
- Enter a game and launch (noting bin names should match the same as the csv - https://github.com/chunksin/Pi...Web/blob/upstream/romsinfo.csv, alternatively, you can edit the csv to match the bin names)
- Naomi should start the loading process and eventually boot

If course the above assumes you have a zero key pic installed on the net dimm and the latest bios (or multi bios) installed on your Naomi

now i can see metal slug but the normal version i think,i have renamed file mslug6.bin. however KOF and AW violent version don't appear in the list...

this point:
Set the net dim to 192.168.1.2 i can't enter in this ip address.
The other point it's ok

Edit:
KOF Neowave it's ok.

If you don't see a game, the file name doesn't match what you have in your game list.

Again, I don't know what image you are using so the default names you have will vary from what I know.

I'm not sure why you are not able to assign 192.168.1.2. Is your net dimm connected to a switch or in your local network?

I can only assume you have conflicting IP addresses if you're not able to assign that ip address.

If you're only plugged directly to the pi, then you shouldnt have a problem assigning the static address.

Can somebody program for a me zero key and naomi 1 multi bios? Let me know how much.

@chunksin if running 2 PiForce-Web's at the same time, is it possible to change the name of the SSID to something like Chihiro for #2?

If i have a Capcom IO does that mean i need to add a second PSU? or just redirect my PSU to go direct into the Naomi instead of having it come out of the IO?

The Capcom IO can only provide enough power to satisfy the Naomi and a single CART based game.
If you run a GDROM/DIMM or a NetDIMM you will need a 2nd/dedicated JVS PSU just for the Naomi rig.

Thanks! Would a regular ATX power supply work instead of the dedicated JVS one if I used this? Alternatively, would a regular ATX work to power the capcom io and i could use the existing power supply for the naomi? Excuse my knowledge gap. Reading a lot and just trying to figure out what goes where, what i need to buy still, etc.

Oh! Also, what are the power requirements for the IO and the Naomi w/Net Dimm? I see a lot of threads talking about 3.3 and 5.1v but not about which component requires which voltage. This would be helpful to know because there's a few JVS PSUs ive found which do 5v but not 3.3.
