Axun Workshop - JVS / JAMMA Control-Box(CBOX) SuperGun

JVS I/O inside this cbox is a Sega 837-13551-92
YES it will directly power the Sega Naomi with an add on cable (Sold seperate) its like $10
and it will power JVS systems Namco 246/256 with an add on cable

he calls it the cleanest naomi setup ever,
He runs his naomi video straight to his display
the cbox powers and handles the kickharness all built in
controllers plug right into the CBOX

I mean, the supergun has a io board in it. So no need for external io.
 
Hey @klee123 - 100%! Power from CBOX, JVS (usb) cable from Naomi to CBOX - audio and video to monitor (31khz), good to go!
 
All i gotta say it made my arcade1up easier to play jvs. It’s super slim and I can play both types in a small form factor.

Its the best system for JVS. Bar none.

I'm pretty much sold at this point, but I guess in addition to the Supergun, I'll need the following required cables?

8 Din JP-21 Cable
JVS Cables for Naomi

I also see the extension cable too which is always a plus :)
 
how will you hook up your display ?
if you use JVS straight to display you dont need 8 Din JP-21 Cable
but if you play JAMMA boards to i think you need 8din EUR SCART
EUR-SCART is friend with OSSC and other scalers

let us know what your set will be and we can tell you what you need
do you use CPS1/2/3 do you use Sega STV?
what is all your purpose for this supergun

but yes its the 1 box to rules them all hehe
 
I currently run CPS2/Taito F3 and planning on running Sega ST-V/Model 3 and Naomi in the future.

I currently playing my boards connected via Supergun connected to XRGB to my LCD 4K TV hence why I use JP21 instead of Euro SCART.

Also just a few more questions if anyone on this forum can answer.


The Taito F3 is known to have sync issues where when connected to say an XRGB, it causes the screen to constantly shake. According to to a few threads I've read, it needs some kind of sync regeneration to mitigate this issue. Does this supergun have any sort of solution to this?

Also since the supergun has Sega Saturn ports, has anyone tested if the Retrobit 2.4htz wireless Sega Saturn ports work?
 
I can tell you that the Taito F3 through this device and then through an OSSC does *not* work - but I knew that heading in.

I want to connect MVS JAMMA / CPS2 multi JAMMA / Naomi2 JVS / maybe in futur TTx²
Some questions:
The DB15 video output have same the quality as the Din8? . It's to connect to a PVM for 15kHz.
The Din8 output uses NeoGeo RGB EURO SCART ?
The power cable option is for Europe too?
How buy this product and optional cables ? Here with drfunk2k ? or http://www.axunworks.com
What is the delay to be delivered ?

The DB15 and DIN8 video signals are the same. Both use the RGBS signal of JAMMA. PVM can be connected.
DIN8 can use NeoGeo RGB EURO SCART. or RGBS-BNC
the psu can accept all power from diffeent areas. if you need it to fit a socket just use any adapter from your local area.
I am in china we have 220 and it works, usa is 110 and it works ;)

i used to take orders but i helped him build the site to make life easier.
but yes i handle all support or issues
The delivery is now within two months. ( all products are made by hand by one person. also chinese new years is in 1 week, the country shuts down for like 20 days. its their biggest holiday)

@drfunk2k I noticed on the website that you have multiple versions of this Supergun. The Black version? is $290

Functionality wise are there any differences?

no difference just Black PCB is more expensive cause its a custom color. i have a black pcb it is black and gold i think its sexy hehe
 
Hi, I am definitely considering buying a unit, but I have one question I want to ask you...
does the JVS IO of the CBOX works with a Namco System 12?

I wanna try the CBOX with a Tekken Tag Tournament board which also has JVS connectors. If anyone has used the CBOX with this board, please let me know.
