Type X3 video card and CPU upgrade

there different type of bios for the X3 mainboard?

Running an i7 in my 404 without issue.

Both should work, they are essentially the same cpu. Try the regular 2600 or another 2600K if you can and see how that works out. It could be you have a bad 2600K?!

2600 from memory. You sure the CPU is ok? I had a heap of trouble with a bad i5.

If a i7-2700k works fine, I don't see why a i7-2600k wouldn't work. Its either a bad CPU or some pins got bent on the motherboard when it was upgraded.

1. Did you try playing games with the Asus 780Ti STOCK to see if it works before flashing the bios?
2. Does the card fit or did you have to move the case fan outside the case?

Asus was uefi

Ok I confirm that the 2600K works on a GigaByte MB but doesn't work on my 2 Type X3

can someone make a dump of his motherboard bios that works with 2600K?

So here are 2 different X3 with 2 different CPU and 2 different bios revision. One has a Xeon processor and one has an i7-2700k. I forget what the i7-2700k used to be, but the X3 with the Xeon processor is a model 407 (Figurehead A) machine.

Hopefully you figure out your problem.
