Or if you have a cart that has both PSOP44 and TSOP48 pads, you could have 2 BIOS chips on one cart and a switch on the enable pins (looking at the above and the wire tracing to the other side of the cart I think that may be the case here)
 
Thst would make it easier. However his cart is a D revision which does not have the other footprint. So the cart only needs to bank one bit anyways.

Replace 29f400 on PCB with programmed 29f800 (48 pin).
Raise pin 16 and proceed as in the attached diagram.

Does the no cd Ultrabios allow region selection or does it simply force a region? I have an Ultrabios cd cart and am hoping to program all of my setups with it then then insert no cd carts that force US region to make a simple more portable solution. From what I gathered reading the November 13 2020 no cd super bios release seems it will do this I just wanted to make sure there wasnt a version of the ultrabios that would. I just want to make sure I am using the latest bios since I am going to do the soldering.

It should allow you to choose region.

Latest Ultrabios is from January 9th 2021. Check 1st post of this thread. It always requires you to choose a region.

Right I dont want region select I want to foce US region so I dont want the Ultrabios

i have a cps3 sf3 new generation pcb that i beleive has suicided (it botos to qa blue and yellow screen with a repeating pattern that loks like the stitching of an american football ball). Anyone knows what are my options?
 
thanks everyone for the help finding memory kits. i made some good progress, but am still short one 128mb module. If anyone has one, im looking for one :)
 
small question. i bought a set of cps3 memory from a uswr in this group, and when it arrived, i noticed that the memory modules did not say capcom.
is this ok? or am i missing something? i hqve a 128

Yeah that's fine. I have a number of ones that doesn't have Capcom on the silkscreen

All that matters is they work :D
