@rewrite sorry to hear that
But i’m sure it could be fixed

Mine i know it’s not working or at least that’s what i was told
But don’t matter i’ll tested tonight and if its not working
I’ll make it work for sure

I’ll share findings and keep you posted

I'm sure it can be too. I'm just fed up with it, so I'll come back to it in a week or two.

So I've got it out anyway...

How do I identify which transistor is the HOT? I was told it's "closest to the flyback" but there are three equidistant from it...

@rewrite
It should be,part# C4692 or equivalent NTE2365

Ohh.

Well, the other one tested bad anyway. So... Ha.

These were my findings
I took all capacitors out and measured them all
i had about 8 of them completely dead, fuse was not blow
One of the capacitors was completely destroyed and smell terrible
And i could see a bit of damage on bottom of chassis ,acid i guess

But after i put it back on.it did turn on
But no picture,i almost give up cause chassis started to act funny and I could hear something poping real loud,
i took out again and reflow everything
Including all color cables from remote boards snd neckboard
And now it looks amazing

On the other hand, my power supply is completely dead and i will look at it some other day
So how come i have picture? Well i’m using my supergun from my test bench:)

Anyone need caster wheels for their egret2? These are used but I cleaned them up mostly. Ended up getting new ones though so I’ll sell them for cost of shipping. I have new bolts too.

I might take you up on offer. @rewrite is going down to storage tomorrow to get stuff ready for Friday pickup day. ill ask him to look at e2 wheels.

I will take the bolts, if no one takes them
I'll still have several sets; the minimum order was 50. So I should have 36 left (assuming the bag actually had 50). How many do you need?

I'll buy a set for 2 cabs please, so thats 32 bolts?! Just PM how much $$ to send ya :) I bought new casters and forgot the bolts X/

I can take some photos and measurements if you want. I got them from Taito directly since he had them, and it saved me from hunting for others with the same spacing.

I did turn up the model number on some international site (OEM in Malaysia I think?) but there weren’t ordering options I could navigate. Probably where taito gets them, but not something a consumer could buy. I’ll try to find that link if you want.

Taito charged me 2000y for a bag of 50 bolts and 2400y for each pair of casters (one fixed one rotating). Highway robbery? I don’t care at this point. This is the Egret 2 of Theseus.

where did you get new E2 casters? I'm hoping they're the same as the E29 as I need new ones for my cabs. as half of them are bent to crap from mishandling during transport.
I think they might be.

Taito has them for sure.

Here is how they measure out:

The wheels are 50mm wide

The total height is 65mm

Hole pattern (measured center to center):
Long side:56mm
Short side:28mm

Misumi might carry compatible casters
