Just added button 6 to my SEGA JVS and TAITO JVS

The supergun I use it with already has an ATX connector for power, so just plug and play. I also have a Mak Strike which accommodates a 4 pin IDE plug which the Pico accomodates. To power the Pico I use an old external hard drive PSU which is 12V 2A. This provides around 5 Amp from the Pico PSU 5V line which is adequate for most boards.

You could easily fabricate or buy a cable with 8 pin ATX power connector on one end (to connect to the Pico) and whatever the HAS needs on the other.
 
Hello there. I have a Mak Stike supergun and was looking into getting a HAS.

I have this PSU for the mak strike.

Will that PSU work with the HAS? Just doing some lite arcade gaming with pandora box and some jamma boards. Not a fan of the bigger psu's The size I linked to is what I would like.

Also would like to hook up the HAS to my OSSC. What adapter would I need to connect to the ossc? Can someone link me to a few ideas?

Hi,

Unfortunately the PSU you linked to is pretty terrible for arcade stuff, it's weak and can give video interference. Not recommended at all for PCB games, but it just might be enough for Pandora's Box.

For OSSC you can use the NESRGB Scart cable or a VGA cable with the right adapter for HAS (listed in the first post of this sales thread).

Hey

Is the 8pin mini DIN to HD15 adapter PCB already installed on the HAS? I hope it does I have no idea how to solder.

Also could you point me to a PSU that's small enough to power the HAS?

At arcadeforge they state the following:

This PSU works with MVS 1 Slot, 60-in-1, 19-in-1 and other multigame arcade PCB.

Please people, STOP trying to run arcade hardware on subpar hardware.
 
Those Arcade Forge PSUs are terrible. Hook up a multimeter to the 5V and watch the voltage fluctuate between 4 and 7 volts. NO WAY I'd hook up any of my arcade boards to one of those.
 
@RGB maybe you should add a few PSUs in your main post. I've been using a happ 110w, available all over the place but here's the Happ link.

This is clearly a mistake in the manual. A 3A PSU is more than enough.
Still a valid point that a 2A rated PSU should be avoided.
