Here come the new boards, made to work with the small revolution brought by the new version 0.8 of BackForceFeeder, which allows to directly control SEGA Servoboards from the PC without going through an Arduino. It is still necessary to convert the USB signal into an RS or MIDI signal, thanks to commercial dongles, or small home-made boards.
These JVS boards are there to handle everything that is not the FFB (since it is BFF that manages it) while making everything as ergonomic as possible.
These boards come in several versions in order to facilitate the software configuration as much as possible, given that not all JVS cabinets necessarily have the same pinout (exception of Outrun 2 board which is identical to the Inital D one. The difference is only visual
).
Each board will come with its small dongle or its small conversion PCB, depending on the servoboard installed in the cab (MIDI or RS). It is up to the user to place it on the Mega Adapter (on the dedicated area) or next to it, whichever seems most practical.
