What's new
Can I have some help to ID these please - connector and pins for CN102 on an MS9 chassis!

S JST is written on one tab and IB is written on another. The pins protrude through the bottom of the connector and are soldered straight into the board.

Thanks in advance.

My apologies, I've got a bit ahead of myself pre morning coffee.....

I don't think those solder contact type are part of the EH series, or at least they're not in the data sheet. I imagine they would work as a replacement but I'll see if I can find those exact ones for you.

No worries bud. If it helps for future searching I did the following:

1 ) First I went to > https://www.jst.co.uk/products.php

2) They're a wire to board type connector so I selected the 'PCB Connectors / Tabs' option:

https://www.jst.co.uk/products.php?cat=1&nm=PCB+Connectors+from+JST

3) I then selected the 'Wire to Board Connectors (Crimp Type)' option:

https://www.jst.co.uk/products.php?cat=30&nm=JST+Wire-to-Board+Connectors+(Crimp+Style)

4) From the 'Advanced Search' option I changed the '03 - Pitch/Style:' filter to 'more' and then '2.50mm'

This then lists all of the 2.5mm pitch connectors. I then just looked for an image which matched yours which was the last result on page 2.

I find searching by pitch the easiest way to narrow down and ID a connector. If you have the connector to hand you can normally pretty easily measure the pitch, espoecially if you measure the width of say 10 pins and then dividing by n-1 (9 in this case). You'll get a more accurate result than trying to measure the pitch between two pins. Especially when trying to ID if something is 2.50mm or 2.54mm for example.

What connector is this? It belongs to a WG K7000 chassis.

Does anybody know under what name I can buy this JST plug? I need both the female and male parts. And how the metal things called which i need to solder to the wire?
It's from a Namco Noir Arcade. I can see "L JST" on the connector, but I can't find anything under this name in my search.

Looks like I really fudged up then X/

Sorry if I sent you a red herring. I've corrected my posts above in case any one else looks in the future.

Not at all. I should have checked the pitch. They’re almost identical but the SAN is just a smaller scale.

I'm looking for a bit of help. I've done some digging but need that extra push to get over the hump with this project.

Background: I am "refreshing" a vewlix C cabinet. I'm trying to keep the visual aesthetic as close to original as possible but I'm redoing the innards in a way that works for my setup and the way I think (cash is king). I'm planning to use the original 12 PSU and the Vewlix Console I/O. The crux is that I'm trying to get it setup for multiple control panels I can swap in and out. To do this the way I'd like to I need a set of harness for each player on each panel.

Seeking Help With: I gather that I need the following housings and contacts to to make the proper harnesses

Question 1: For an end user, is there any economical crimpers that I can purchase to do this job? Also, would I be setting myself up for headaches trying to learn how to build these cables? I know a fair amount about crimping but have never worked with this style before. I know there are several options to purchase these (in and outside the forum) but I find them either prohibitively expensive or I haven't received responses to my inquiries.

Question 2: Alternatively, would anyone have a recommendation for a more common/accessible set of connectors I could switch too? Ideally I'd like to fasten the cable connector from the I/O to the CP housing itself in a way that makes swapping fast, secure and effortless.
