What's new
Does anyone have any ideas on dumping/flashing the gpu bios from the TTX directly? I have only read that there are issues in doing so. I tried to build a AGP based test system but still had issues…

Credits go to: @Niko for his DOS boot image :D
  • Write image to disk
  • Insert original PS2 keyboard. A USB to PS2 adapter will NOT work.
  • Connect VGA screen
  • See DOS boot up and feel nostalgic
  • cd TTX1GPU

info:
flashrom -i

save:
flashrom -s 0 original.bin

write:
flashrom -f -p 0 9600SE.BIN

Note:
The TTX has a watchdog on the JVS MASTER card which will reset the machine after 3 minutes.
If you want to make sure that your FLASHing session is not interrupted I would remove the cables going to the JVS MASTER card.

Please save your original BIOS and share it with us before flashing @AlxUnderBase !

I had to acquire an actual PS/2 keyboard for messing with my TTX/TTX2… not super easy to come by sometimes!

I dont know if i did something wrong or i missed something 😊

@AlxUnderBase Nice to see you have it working somewhat. You should redo the operation with the command:

flashrom -f -p 0 9600SE.BIN

Then when that is done reboot and save the image to verify that it is the same as 9600SE.BIN.

flashrom -s 0 original.bin

And post it here. Just zip it up and attach it to the post, it is tiny.

I misread or misunderstood, because I thought that the downloadable file was an image on the hard drive and they are just files that are copied to the hard drive since unfortunately I do not have any original hard drive with the operating system included to test it on my TTX :(

Looks like you are missing a PSU unit as well :)

Everything is there, read the instructions carefully... ;)

I read the entire thread but nothing. I can't find it, I only find the software that is copied to the TTX system OS but I can't find an image (.img) of the TTX OS, so what I am looking for is something similar to what Niko has (an OS image) . I do not have any original image of the OS since the hard drive that came with the TTX is totally dead 😓
